99th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION: CHARLIE CHAPLIN'S THE KID

Saturday, Apr 26, 7:00 pm

Doors: 6:00 pm
Charlie Chaplin Look-a-Like Contest: 6:30 pm
Film: 7:00 pm

The Historic Lincoln Theatre celebrates its 99th Anniversary with a special screening of Charlie Chaplin's first feature film and a bona-fide silent masterpiece: The Kid!

In The Kid, Chaplin's "Little Tramp" character discovers a young orphan (Jackie Coogan) and brings him up as his own. When the orphanage reclaims the child, the Tramp is left desolate. Can he find a happy ending?

The silent film will feature a live musical score by Karen and the K-Kats, playing period-appropriate ragtime and trad jazz, and with a focus on the Lincoln Theatre's Mighty Wurlitzer organ -- original to the theatre, and also celebrating its 99th year.

After the film, Karen and the K-Kats will play more peppy tunes for your listening pleasure!

Don't forget our Charlie Chaplin Look-a-Like contest -- show up early to take part! Grab your shabbiest suit or your best bowler hat!

For this evening, the Art Bar will be hosted by Skagit Valley Larder.
